Taking Care of Your Mental Health

There’s a direct connection between mental and physical well-being and that’s why it’s strongly recommended to keep both systems in balance. Good mental health helps you enjoy your life and gives you power and inspiration to cope with difficulties.

Mental fatigue is as a result of imbalance between your mental and physical state of mind. It’s necessary that a balance be found in helping your mind function well.

Loving yourself and striking a balance leads to stable mental health

Loving and accepting yourself for who you are is very important in maintaining mental health. Conflicts of accepting ones strengths and weaknesses are very detrimental to stable mental health. If you start loving yourself, you will be able to love other people and boost your self-esteem.

As Thomas Merton said,
“Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony. Happiness is achieved when your inner and outer man are fully at peace and functioning properly. Learn to balance your duties and responsibilities and remember, that no matter how you try, you can’t do it all.

Those who ask for help or directions never miss their way. A person is mentally disturbed, when goals are not achieved. It is a strong character trait when you realize, that you alone can’t face the world. Learn to trust people and ask for help or assistance. There are no perfect or best solutions.

Good physical health is an indispensable part of your mental well-being. You need to do exercises every day, because they help you decrease depression and increase your mood.
Proper circulation of rich oxygenated blood raises mental alertness and spirit.

No matter the pressure or importance of meeting target; do this before your start your daily routine, satisfy your inner man through meditation on those things that edify love, affection, harmony, balance, peace and joy.

I don’t know how the body does it, but the body just reenergizes itself after a good’s night sleep. Sleep, lots of water intake and fruits are sure and healthy ways of taking care of the body.

Tasks you perform daily take mental and physical toll on your body. And with today’s world that is time conscious and target-driven, there is no way that stress will not affect your body and your productivity. Stress is one of the main cause of mental illness. You can beat stress by taking breaks often from your daily routines, spiritual meditation, sleep, exercise and eating lots of fruits and vegetable diets.

Everyday we face situations that adversely affect our mental health; we must find a balance that promotes peace of mind and success in our daily lives.
